Iron oxide red primer prevents corrosive media from contacting the metal surface by forming a physical barrier.

Epoxy primer is the most common and widely used primer, especially for aluminum hulls. Epoxy primer has excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion, and can form a solid barrier on the aluminum surface to prevent the penetration of moisture and oxygen and prevent corrosion of the hull.
