Corrosion and protection of desulfurization tower-C

In response to this situation, various anti-corrosion coatings have emerged. Coatings usually have pores. The diameter of small molecules of the fluid medium (water, acid, alkali, etc.) is generally smaller than the pores of the coating. These mediums in contact with the coating pass straight through. And the coating cannot be applied very thickly, otherwise cracks will occur, and ordinary coatings cannot resist the diffusion and penetration of corrosive media to the substrate. Ordinary anti-corrosion coatings generally can only be used as atmospheric anti-corrosion but cannot play the role of lining, especially in the liquid phase medium and high temperature occasions.

At present, almost all glass flake cements on the market are used as anticorrosive materials. With the addition of glass flakes, the coating has two advantages as a desulfurization tower anticorrosive coating. First, it can be processed to be very thick without worrying about cracks. This is because the glass flakes divide the coating into many small spaces and greatly reduce the shrinkage stress and expansion coefficient of the coating; the second is due to the multilayer glass flakes It is arranged in parallel with the matrix, so that the route of the medium's diffusion and penetration becomes tortuous, increasing the resistance of the medium's penetration and diffusion to the matrix. The glass flakes used in the coating have a fish-scale effect. Thousands of flakes are staggered to form a complicated and tortuous permeation and diffusion path in the coating, which makes the diffusion path of the corrosive medium quite tortuous and difficult to reach the substrate.
